ARLINGTON Va., Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- The prestigious White House News Photographers Association has awarded 31 of the 90 awards given in its "Eyes of History 2006" contest for television journalism to producers and editors from washingtonpost.com.

Judging for the awards took place January 14-15, 2006. The awards were announced January 16.

washingtonpost.com is the only website represented among the top competitors for the awards, including major news networks and television stations.

washingtonpost.com video journalists Pierre Kattar, Ben de la Cruz, Christina Pino-Marina, J.C. Crandall and John Poole also won a range of awards in categories including Long Form Editing, Short Form Editing, Sports, Special Reports/Series, and Spot News, among others.
