CHICAGO, Jan. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- A few lucky United customers will have the opportunity to see their favorite stars -- up close and personal -- walk down the legendary red carpet at the 2007 Academy Awards. When customers log on to united.com/oscars and register for the "Reach for the Stars" promotion, they will have a chance to win a pair of red carpet bleacher seats to the 2007 Academy Awards.

Beginning Feb. 1, 2006, through March 5, 2006, customers can register for the contest at www.united.com/oscars and play the "Reach for the Stars" promotion for a chance to win a Red Carpet Package Grand Prize. The package includes a pair of coveted red carpet bleacher seats to the 2007 Academy Awards and two roundtrip tickets to Los Angeles with three days and two nights hotel accommodations. Other prizes include 5,000 Mileage Plus(R) bonus miles or a one-time pass to visit a United Red Carpet Club(R). Once registered, customers answer online trivia and advance to the instant win game for a chance to win prizes. The Web site instantly notifies customers by e-mail if they are potential winners of the sweepstakes and provides instructions for validation if they are the recipient of any awards. Participants can play as often as once a day and must be Mileage Plus members. If participants are not Mileage Plus members, they can register at united.com or follow the links and instructions to sign up for an account when they log onto united.com/oscars.
Customers will earn 1,000 bonus miles every time they purchase qualifying travel at united.com, which also offers the guaranteed lowest United fares. Customers can also earn 500 bonus miles each time they check in for a United flight using EasyCheck-in Online** at united.com by June 30, 2006.
