DJ AM Will Get Party Started at Groove Detroit ... Art in Motion, Tickets Still Available

DETROIT, Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- In anticipation of Super Bowl XL in Detroit, celebrity entertainers are slated for high-profile events throughout "Super Weekend," including DJ AM at Groove Detroit ... Art in Motion. This fundraiser, to benefit The Children's Center, will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Ford Conference & Event Center in Dearborn, from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.

DJ AM is the entertainment industry's premier DJ, whose name defines what's cool in Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas and New York. His clientele is only A-List: Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake and Paris Hilton can be regularly found dancing to his beat in exclusive clubs. Likewise, DJ AM has headlined at special events for celebrities, including birthday parties for Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio and a recent engagement party for Christina Aguilera.

While many Super Bowl XL-related events are either private, by invitation only, or are exclusive in terms of an extremely limited supply of available tickets, Groove Detroit ... Art in Motion will have 1,000 tickets available at $450 each. For individuals interested in participating in Super Bowl XL- related festivities, Groove Detroit ... Art in Motion will provide that opportunity while also supporting one of the area's local charities.

Groove Detroit ... Art in Motion, an officially sanctioned event of the Detroit Super Bowl XL Host Committee, will be hosted by Lisa and Bill Ford and by Kathy and Roger Penske. Mr. Penske also serves as Chair of the Super Bowl XL Host Committee.

Honorary co-chairs for Groove Detroit ... Art in Motion include Mr. and Mrs. Dave Bing, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Chelios, Mr. Alex Delvecchio, Mr. and Mrs. Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Al Kaline, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lewand, Mr. Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez, and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Yzerman.

Some of the evening's festivities will include a strolling supper and cocktail reception with a Detroit flair, featuring multiple food stations, live entertainment and an intimate jazz club. In addition, renowned dance band Haute Chile will provide additional entertainment throughout the evening. One of the highlights of the evening will be Osadia, a hairdressing duo from Barcelona, Spain, known for their eclectic, avant-garde hair sculpture creations. They will invite guests from the audience to be quickly transformed with outrageous hairstyles on the spot.
