Advertising Industry Veteran Bill Jennings to Lead New Video Ad Network
Bill Jennings joins Instream as Chief Revenue Officer
Instream also adds Sales Directors for the Southeast and Midwest
WASHINGTON, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Instream, the broadband video ad network recently launched by Lightningcast, announced today that Bill Jennings, most recently VP of New Media and Business Development at A&E Television Networks joins the Instream executive team as Chief Revenue Officer.
Instream is one the largest sources of high quality managed video advertising inventory on the Internet with more than 100 million streams per month and is powered by the Lightningcast video advertising platform, also used by major media companies including AOL, Microsoft, ABC News, Scripps Networks, A&E Networks and many others.
Bill will be based in Instream's New York office and oversee all of Instream's sales efforts. He will also be responsible for building out Instream's national sales team. At A&E Networks, Bill was responsible for all interactive advertising revenue including website, VOD and broadband for A&E, Biography and The History Channel and worked with major advertisers including GM, MasterCard, Audi, Geico, Xerox, Microsoft and P&G. Prior to A&E, Bill managed the Eastern Region for Engage Media's Flycast advertising network. Earlier in his career, Bill launched and served as Associate Publisher of cable industry publication, Multichannel News. Bill started his career in marketing and product management for large consumer brands at The Gillette Company and Polaroid Corporation.
Instream has also added Chris Coda to lead sales in the Southeast/ Mid-Atlantic region and Steve Crane to represent Instream in the Midwest. Chris joins Instream from Weatherbug. Chris has more than 15 years of advertising sales and management experience with large media companies including USAToday, About.com, and Cox Interactive Media. Steve Crane has more than 20 years experience in magazine and online publishing sales, including leadership positions with Adweek, Engage Media, and The Chicago Tribune.
Bill, Chris and Steve join Steve Touhill, SVP of Sales and Business Development for Lightningcast, who has been leading Instream ad sales since the network's launch late last year. Prior to Lightningcast, Steve was a Vice President in AOL's Media Networks group, where he focused on rich media and advertising products strategy.
