Are Americans pining for the long-gone days of horse-drawn sleigh rides? Last week's holiday radio airplay indicates the answer is yes. For the second week in a row, the many versions of the classic holiday tune "Sleigh Ride" ruled U.S. radio airplay -- clocking in at over seventeen-thousand spins in the past seven days alone. According to radio airplay monitoring service Mediaguide, "Sleigh Ride" is the most-played holiday song nationwide. NASA Sets Sights on First Pluto Mission
NASA is preparing to launch the first spacecraft to distant Pluto and its moon Charon (KAIR-en). The January 2006 launch of New Horizons will complete the initial reconnaissance of the planets in the solar system. Mary Cleave, associate administrator for NASA's Science Mission Directorate says, "New Horizons will study a unique world, and we can only imagine what we may learn.
