Players Network Appoints Mary Ann Butcher, Vice President, Marketing
Company Goes 'All-In' in Hiring New Television & Gaming Industry Veteran
LAS VEGAS, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Players Network (BULLETIN BOARD: PNTV) , the leading gaming industry media company, announced today that Mary Ann Butcher, a seasoned sales and marketing veteran of both the television and gaming industries, has been appointed Vice President, Marketing.
Butcher will be responsible for overseeing consumer, trade, business and gaming industry marketing and promotion initiatives including the development of the company's Player Services offering, Database Management, Affinity Programs and Ticketing businesses. In addition, Butcher will be instrumental in furthering building the company's business development, corporate communications, public relations, investor communications, competitive research, branding, image and design. She will report to newly appointed President & COO, Andrew H. Orgel.
Butcher joins Players Network from her position as Vice President & General Manager, Total Vegas Television, Las Vegas, with her partner entertainment personality Robin Leach. She also worked with Leach in his attempts to launch Channel 35, Las Vegas. Prior to TVT, she was Acting Chief Operating Officer, Casino Entertainment Television, Las Vegas, a development company in the gaming media category.
"Mary Ann's considerable marketing, sales and business development expertise will greatly benefit Players Network as it develops long-term, deeper relationships with the casino operating companies, sponsors, distributors and our investor and consumer bases," said Orgel.
Butcher served as Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, ABC Owned and Operated Television Stations where she managed 11 major market offices with 110 staff members, supporting 10 television stations. She created successful partnerships with many Fortune 500 companies including Delta Airlines, L'Oreal, McDonald's, Coca Cola, and Home Depot, maintained ongoing relationships with advertising agencies, PR firms and creative/graphics companies to better brand the ABC owned stations and gain as much revenue possible and designed business plans to increase revenues.
Later, Butcher was Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Cisco Systems, Inc. where she led and managed a cross-functional sales & marketing team. She partnered with executive management and end customers to develop a complete, actionable, "go-to-market" strategy including sizing opportunities across large enterprises that prioritize industry opportunities, channel & strategic partners, vertical, business & technical solutions while leveraging market intelligence and all corporate resources in support of the sales organization.
Butcher received both her MBA in International Business and her BA in Broadcast Journalism from NYU. She is a member of Women in Film, Las Vegas Chapter, a member of Women in Communications, Las Vegas chapter and a new member of the National Association of Catering Executives.
