Overstock.com's Jewelry Department Featured on NBC's 'Today'

SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Overstock.com(R) (NASDAQ:OSTK) was featured on NBC's "Today" show yesterday in a segment about finding the best bargains on diamond jewelry. The segment showcased luxury diamond jewelry from several top internet retailers, including an exquisite 18-karat yellow gold bangle bracelet with 152 pave-set diamonds available on Overstock.com for $12,999.

"Today" show financial editor, Jean Chatzky, had each item appraised by an independent appraiser. During the segment, Chatzky told "Today" weather and feature reporter Al Roker that the bracelet from Overstock.com stood out among all the other items featured because it was independently appraised at nearly twice the value of what the bracelet sells for on Overstock.com.

Patrick Byrne, president of Overstock.com, said, "It's not widely known that Overstock has one of the best jewelry departments anywhere. As Ms. Chatzky experienced, customers can purchase fine jewelry at significant discounts to appraised values; that is, in fact, the reason many jewelers also buy from Overstock."
