'A Man of Honor, Principle, and Integrity'; Progress for America Voter Fund Announces a New Alito TV Ad
WASHINGTON, Dec. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Progress for America Voter Fund today announced a 4-day $150,000 advertising buy supporting Judge Alito as a final push before the Senate adjourns for the year.
"Coming in the waning days of the Senate's session, this ad solidifies the momentum towards Judge Alito's confirmation that began when he was nominated just six weeks ago," said Brian McCabe, PFA's president.
Next week is expected to be Congress' final week for the year. The Senate Judiciary Committee will take up the nomination the week after returning in 2006. "National newspapers and those who know him best both agree: Judge Samuel Alito is a tremendously qualified judge who applies the law fairly with no political agenda. He deserves swift confirmation in the new year."
The ad is timed to correspond with the visit of a number of former Alito clerks, who will be in Washington, D.C. next week meeting with key senators regarding the Supreme Court nominee.
The 30 second TV ad "Integrity" (http://pfavoterfund.com/) will run in a mixture state cable stations including Maine, Nebraska, Rhode Island and Washington, D.C. The ad features two former Alito clerks Jack White and Hannah Smith:
