Brook Mays Music Announces Response to Boston Verdict

DALLAS, Dec. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Dallas-based Brook Mays Music Co. Inc. is announcing the company's intentions to ask the trial judge to review an adverse federal jury verdict handed down Dec. 2 in Boston prior to deciding whether to appeal.

In First Act Inc. v. Brook Mays Music Company Inc., No. 03-12020-EFH, a Boston federal jury awarded $20.7 million to Newton, Mass.-based First Act based on claims that Brook Mays disparaged First Act in communications about the company's music products.
