Alan Price Named Senior Vice President, Finance and Operations, Sony Music Label Group, U.S.

NEW YORK, Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Alan Price has been named Senior Vice President, Finance and Operations, Sony Music Label Group U.S., it was announced today by Don Ienner, Chief Executive Officer, Sony Music Label Group U.S., and Michele Anthony, President and Chief Operating Officer, Sony Music Label Group U.S. Mr. Price is based in New York and reports to Mr. Ienner, Ms. Anthony as well as to Kevin Kelleher, Chief Financial Officer of SONY BMG.

In his new role, Mr. Price is responsible for overseeing financial and operational matters for the labels and divisions within the Group, including Columbia Records, Epic Records, Sony Music Nashville and Sony Urban Music. He will also manage the Group's efforts in the areas of scheduling and production, strategic planning and organizational matters.

Most recently Mr. Price served as Senior Vice President, Finance, Sony Music Label Group, since 2004. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President, Finance, Sony Music. During his tenure there he oversaw financial and operational matters for the company. From 2000-2001, he was Vice President, Finance, Sony Music. He joined the company in 1991, as Financial Analyst and subsequently moved to Epic Records in the same role. In 1995, he was named Vice President, Finance for the WORK Group based in Los Angeles. Mr. Price worked at Arthur Andersen from 1988 to 1990.

Mr. Price holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University and an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
