USA TODAY LIVE Produces Television Documentary for Animal Planet

ANIMAL PLANET HEROES: Hurricane Reunions

MCLEAN, Va., Nov. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- USA TODAY LIVE, the television arm of USA TODAY, has produced a one-hour television documentary for Animal Planet. The documentary focuses on the heartwarming reunions of animals and their human friends in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

ANIMAL PLANET HEROES: Hurricane Reunions will premiere this Saturday, November 26th at 8 p.m. ET. USA TODAY LIVE shot original footage in the hurricane-struck states of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, as well as in Florida, Arizona, and Washington, D.C. The program reveals the journeys of people and their pets as they struggled to survive, suffered painful separations and were finally brought back together in emotional reunions.

ANIMAL PLANET HEROES: Hurricane Reunions is a follow-up to the ANIMAL PLANET HEROES: Hurricane Rescues special that aired in September. That program was also produced by USA TODAY LIVE.

Lauren Ashburn is the executive producer and Emil Gallina is the producer for USA TODAY LIVE. Jamie Roberts is the executive producer for Animal Planet, U.S.
