SwapDay.com Launches as First Online Community Exclusively for Movie, Music and Videogame Collectors

Web Site Combines Online Entertainment Marketplace With Social Networking Capabilities

PALOS VERDES, Calif., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- SwapDay, Inc., today announced it has launched the beta version of an online community that lets members manage their media collections, as well as interact with other collectors to trade, borrow, buy and sell DVDs, CDs and videogames. The full version of SwapDay is slated for release in early January.

SwapDay (www.swapday.com) provides movie, music and videogame enthusiasts with all the tools they need to keep track of their collections, interact with other enthusiasts who have similar interests and conduct transactions to build their collection or sell unwanted items. Members can also create direct links from their SwapDay collections to blogs and social networking profiles to share the contents of their collections with others.

"SwapDay combines elements of an online entertainment marketplace with social networking to give consumers a way to manage, share and build their collections," said Paul Cha, president of SwapDay, Inc. "We are creating an online community centered around movies, music and videogames, three multi-billion dollar industries."

In addition, used DVD, CD and videogame retailers can upload their inventories to SwapDay and offer their products for sale and buy inventory.

On SwapDay, users can:

* Manage their collections: keep track of movie, music and videogame
collections, included needed items; link collections to online
databases to add product information; access collections online or
print complete listings.

* Share: let others view the contents of their collections on SwapDay
and also through links that can be used in blogs and social networking
profiles.

* Lend/borrow: lend and borrow with friends and other members; keep
track of who has what; SwapDay sends automatic e-mail reminders to
encourage timely returns.

* Trade: make deals with others for even exchanges.

* Buy/sell: find the movies, music and videogames they need for their
collections, and sell unwanted items.

* Search: view other members' collections; make offers for needed
movies, music and videogames.

* Communicate: meet other members with similar interests; create online
forums to share opinions, reviews and other information related to a
particular movie, actor, musician, band or videogame.

Membership in SwapDay is free and there are no fees for trading or borrowing with other members. For buy and sell transactions, sellers are charged a fee of $.25 for each DVD or CD sold through SwapDay and $.50 for each videogame. Terms and method of payment for purchases made through SwapDay are set between buyers and sellers.
