'American Idol' TV Star To Deliver Holiday Messages at Mercerville Post Office

WHAT: Vonzell Solomon, popular American Idol star, USPS Holiday
Spokesperson will be at the Mercerville Post Office to help
kick-off the busy holiday season by letting everyone know "We
are Ready for You" - Whether it's online or in person, we are
ready to help answer your toughest holiday questions and
challenges. Vonzell will also assist with a ribbon cutting
ceremony to introduce the general public to the newly
installed Automated Postal Center (APC) which will give
customers 24/7 access to postal products and services.

BACKGROUND: The U.S. Postal Service is proud to have retained the
services of former Postal employee and popular American Idol
star Vonzell Solomon to support the holiday campaign by
promoting quick, easy and convenient services.

Solomon, a former rural carrier associate in Ft. Myers, FL,
gained national recognition through her appearance on
American Idol this spring. She has appeared with American
Idol runner-up Bo Bice and winner Carrie Underwood at the
Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR race, as well as Regis & Kelly and
helped headline this summer's American Idol concert tour.
