Tim McGraw Among All-Stars at Fundraiser in Late Father's Honor

McGraw will join country stars, baseball greats and cable television pioneers

to salute the late Mets and Phillies relief-pitcher, Tug McGraw

Before Tug McGraw died of brain cancer nearly two years ago, his wish was to establish a foundation that would provide funds for pioneering brain cancer research and to raise awareness of the disease.

On Monday, November 14, at Gotham Hall, 1356 Broadway, in New York City, country superstar, Tim McGraw, will serve as honorary chairman of the first major fundraiser in memory of his late father, Tug McGraw called the "Ya Gotta Believe Gala." All proceeds of the "Ya Gotta Believe Gala" will benefit the Tug McGraw Foundation. Joining McGraw for the event, which will feature musical performances by Tim McGraw's Dancehall Doctors, The Warren Brothers and Hot Apple Pie, are:

MEDIA BRIEFING

There will be a media briefing including all of the performers, speakers, presenters and dignitaries on Monday, November 14, beginning at 6:15 p.m. in the ballroom at Gotham Hall. Media will need press credentials, which can be picked up at the 6th Avenue entrance of Gotham Hall from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Please send credential requests to: Guerinpr@aol.com. Following the briefing, there will be an opportunity to cover the opening of the gala, from 7:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Broadcast quality videotape will be available by request of the awards and musical performances which are scheduled from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., but are closed to the media. Still photos will also be available.

The Tug McGraw Foundation is a 501(c) (3) organization based in Glenside, Pennsylvania.
