Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment Announces Partnership with The Dove Foundation

Fox Introduces Faith & Family Approved Movies 'Everyone Can Enjoy'

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and The Dove Foundation today announced a partnership to make movie selections easier for consumers searching for family-friendly entertainment options available on DVD.

Starting in October, all movie titles marketed nationally by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment that have been approved by The Dove Foundation will bear the foundation's signature white-and-blue logo of a dove.

The "Dove FAMILY APPROVED Seal" makes it easy for consumers to identify movie titles that the foundation deems appropriate for family viewing. Dove's criteria gauges the levels of sex, language, violence, drugs, nudity and occultism in a film.

Jeff Yordy, director of marketing for Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, said the partnership between his organization and The Dove Foundation "will change the way Fox Home Entertainment markets and promotes family-friendly films, and we expect that trend to continue well into the future.

"The Dove Foundation, through its clear vision, leadership, and understanding of the American family, has established itself as a valuable resource for consumers seeking quality entertainment and programming that's suitable for their entire household," Yordy added.

Foundation chairman, Dick Rolfe said the partnership reflects Fox's attention to a growing but underserved market, with faith and family consumers searching for palatable entertainment in a market without a consistent ratings system.

"With so many movies to choose from -- and ratings that don't always tell parents what to expect in a given movie -- our partnership with Fox will help consumers by doing research for them, and making recommendations to help families feel confident in their entertainment choices," Rolfe said.

To date, the foundation has approved more than 4,500 movies, videos and DVDs, including classic films, such as The Sound of Music, in addition to new films currently showing in theaters. The foundation then posts detailed information about each approved film on its website at http://www.dove.org/ . Fox Home Entertainment has set up a website http://www.foxfaith.com/ in which to showcase several of the video titles bearing the Dove Seal of approval.
