These Baseball Flicks Are Out of the Park!

nowhere to become a legendary player with almost divine talent. Boyhood
dreams, a bat made from a tree struck by lightning and most importantly,

* "Cobb" (1994) An earnest reporter hired to write the 'official'
biography of much-despised Detroit phenom Ty Cobb discovers just how

* "For the Love of the Game" (1999) A washed up pitcher, Billy Chapel,
flashes through his career and must choose between the woman he loves
and the game he lives for. Starring Kevin Costner, Kelly Preston and

* "Field of Dreams" (1989) In what many call the greatest baseball movie
of all-time, an Iowa corn farmer, hearing voices, interprets them as a
command to build a baseball diamond in his fields. He does, and the
