QVC to Unveil Mosaic Shoe of Inspiration Exhibit in Support of Annual Breast Cancer Benefit

WEST CHESTER, Pa., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- This summer, QVC 'hits the road' with the Mosaic Shoe of Inspiration, an interactive exhibit that supports QVC's annual breast cancer fundraiser, QVC Presents "FFANY Shoes on Sale." Designed to raise awareness of breast cancer and the importance of early detection, the Mosaic will be comprised of commemorative tiles that participants will place in the exhibit in honor of someone they know who has battled the disease or to simply support the cause.

The Mosaic Shoe of Inspiration exhibit will be unveiled at QVC @ The Mall in the Mall of America on Wednesday, August 17. QVC hopes to receive donations for more than 1,000 tiles between now and the end of October -- Breast Cancer Awareness Month -- which coincides with the company's 12th annual fundraiser, QVC Presents "FFANY Shoes on Sale" slated for Wednesday, October 26 from 7 to 10 PM (ET). The event, a joint effort with the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY), has donated nearly $20 million in the past 11 years.

"We wanted to be able to connect with the many people who have been touched by breast cancer and provide them with a way to acknowledge what the disease has meant to them," said Denise Wine, director of event marketing, QVC. "The Mosaic Shoe of Inspiration is a poignant and positive reminder that together we can be vigilant about finding a cure."

The exhibit will then travel to other locations across the United States before serving as the stage backdrop to the October FFANY broadcast.
