Alpine Pictures, Inc. in Association With Box Office Productions II, LLC Announces Their Latest Project, 'Dark Honeymoon'

BURBANK, Calif., Aug. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Alpine Pictures, Inc. in association with Box Office Productions II, LLC has struck a deal with Safe Harbor Productions, Inc. to produce and distribute "Dark Honeymoon," based on an original screenplay by David O'Malley, who will also direct. Michael Meltzer will produce for Safe Harbor.

Safe Harbor Productions, Inc. was formed by principals David O'Malley, Michael Meltzer and Michael Spence this past February to produce genre motion pictures. O'Malley wrote "Fatal Instinct"; the film noir comedy directed by Carl Reiner for MGM and recently directed the comedy/drama "Kalamazoo?" for Londinium Productions. Meltzer was producer of the cult horror hit "The Hidden," as well as "Dead Heat" and the comedy "Up The Creek," among others.

"Dark Honeymoon" is a suspense thriller in which a man marries an enchanting woman after only a brief relationship, but during their honeymoon on the fog-shrouded Oregon coast he learns the terrible truth about her as those around them begin to die violent deaths. The tension intensifies as bodies continue to pile up and he soon discovers that you never really know someone ... until you marry them.

Casting and pre-production will begin later this month with filming expected to occur in November of this year.
