FamilyStoneExperience Making 'Hot Fun' on Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk This Friday!
SANTA CRUZ, Calif., July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- It'll be "Hot Fun in The Summertime," for sure on Friday, July 29 when the FamilyStoneExperience, featuring founding members of Sly & the Family Stone, hit the beach for the Pepsi Presents: Free Friday Night Bands-on-the-Beach concert in Santa Cruz.
Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame inductees and founding members of Sly & the Family Stone, Greg Errico and Jerry Martini, are bringing their cool and funky sounds to the hot beach for their first visit to the Boardwalk.
Formed in the 1960s, Sly & the Family Stone blew the top off the charts with such classic hits as "Thank You (Falettingme be mice elf agin)," "Family Affair," "Dance to the Music," and "Every Day People."
"This group is steeped in musical legend and our audience will reap the benefits of experiencing such marvelous music from these creative giants," said Boardwalk Promotions Director Paul B. Hammond.
The FamilyStoneExperience will perform two, free, 45-minute shows at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on the Boardwalk's bandstand.
Both shows feature American Sign Language Interpreter, Mo Moscovitz, and special seating with unobstructed views of the stage for the deaf and hard of hearing and the mobility impaired is also available.
