'Blow Out' Star and Celebrity Stylist Jonathan Antin's Hair Care Collection a Smash Hit on QVC
WEST CHESTER, Pa., July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The July 15 QVC launch of Jonathan Antin's namesake hair care collection, JONATHAN|product(TM), was a blow out success with sellouts for all nine items presented during Antin's first one-hour QVC appearance. Demonstrating the resonance of Antin's mantra "simple hair and how to get there," customers ordered over 35,000 units of JONATHAN|product. This marks the most successful hair care launch in QVC's nineteen-year history.
Within seconds of the kickoff for the one-hour premiere show, QVC's customer service lines were abuzz with thousands of JONATHAN|product orders. On June 8, Antin previewed his new line on QVC with the broadcast debut of his signature styling aid, Dirt(R) Texturizing Paste. In less than 13 minutes of airtime, nearly 3,600 units were ordered and the initial inventory of approximately 4,150 units completely sold out shortly thereafter. Based on this success, QVC ordered additional units of the Dirt Texturizing Paste for sale through QVC.com. An extraordinary customer response was evident as JONATHAN|product became the number-one beauty search term on QVC.com during the week of July 4 and quantities were extremely limited going into Antin's next show on July 15. In total, more than 15,000 units of the Dirt Texturizing Paste have been ordered through both broadcast and website exposures.
