SpatiaLight Hires New Corporate Controller

NOVATO, Calif., June 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SpatiaLight, Inc. (NASDAQ:HDTV), a manufacturer of state of the art liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS) microdisplays, announced today that it has hired Kim Tsuchimoto as its new Corporate Controller and Assistant Vice President of Accounting and Finance. Ms. Tsuchimoto will report directly to Robert A. Olins, the Chief Executive Officer, who will continue to serve as SpatiaLight's Principal Financial and Accounting Officer.

Ms. Tsuchimoto's central responsibilities as Corporate Controller will be directing and monitoring all functions of the Company's accounting department, including supervision of preparing financial reports for the Company's periodic filings with the SEC and compliance with Sarbanes Oxley rules and regulations. Other responsibilities will include working with management in developing budgets, setting operating objectives and supervising periodic audits by the Company's independent auditors.

Prior to joining SpatiaLight, Ms. Tsuchimoto served as Vice President, Controller and later as Vice President, Treasurer of BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., a publicly traded California-based biopharmaceutical company. During her eight years as an executive at BioMarin, Ms. Tsuchimoto was instrumental in capital allocation and financial management for the company as it deployed over $500 million raised through equity and debt financings and received marketing approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for two drugs for the treatment of rare genetic diseases. Ms. Tsuchimoto is a licensed California certified public accountant and received a B.S. in Business Administration from San Francisco State University.
