INCAT Will Be Featured on Alexander Haig's 'World Business Review'
June 9 segment focuses on PLM and reducing product time to market
DETROIT, June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- INCAT announced today that the company will be featured on "World Business Review (WBR)," hosted by General Alexander Haig, in a segment airing Thursday, June 9 on the CNBC and Bravo cable networks. The segment focuses on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), its growth and its impact in reducing product development time and speeding products to market.
"Most successful manufacturing organizations understand that their fundamental business imperative is developing and building great, innovative products that get customers excited about buying," INCAT President Warren Harris tells Haig in the segment. "The competitive advantage is in getting those products to market quickly, while demand is high. PLM implementation is the key to cultivating and sustaining that competitive advantage."
INCAT CEO Ulrich Herter notes, in the segment, that a PLM strategy -- to be successful -- must be aligned with an organization's business goals.
"Today, any enterprise can take advantage of PLM strategies and technologies," Herter explains to Haig. "Our role, as independent consultants, is not just to help clients select the best technologies, but to develop client-specific strategies that take into account our client's corporate culture, their suppliers, their customers and -- most importantly -- their overall business goals."
INCAT's approach to PLM implementation is demonstrated in the segment with a Field Report conducted at the Build-A-Mold division of the A. P. Plasman Company, headquartered in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
Build-A-Mold ranks among the largest mold makers in North America. The company's customer base includes automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, as well as non-automotive OEMs, including manufacturers of recreational vehicles. Build-A-Mold specializes in compression, injection and prototype molds.
"As a full-service supplier to the world automotive industry, it is critical that our engineering processes respond to the challenge of reducing our time to market. Working with INCAT we have been able to accomplish that," John Stachow, Build-A-Mold Director of Tooling tells WBR. "Engineering is the heart of our company and various technologies are the tools we use in engineering to drive the manufacture and management of complex injection molds and mold programs. INCAT has helped us maximize our investment in technology with their solutions recommendations, consulting and on-site support."
Segment Producer Adam Dubner noted, "When researching this industry, INCAT was consistently recognized as being among the most knowledgeable. They were a natural to appear on this particular edition of WBR."
In addition to airing June 9 on the CNBC and Bravo cable networks, the segment may also be viewed on United Airlines' in-flight TV and through video on demand at http://www.wbrtv.com/ .
