MusicNet Appoints Blair Schooff as Director of Partner and Label Relations

Music Industry Veteran Joins Company's UK Operations

NEW YORK, May 23 /PRNewswire/ -- MusicNet, the world's leading business-to-business digital music service provider, today announced that it has appointed Blair Schooff to the position of Director of Partner and Label Relations. In this position, Schooff will be responsible for managing the Company's UK-based distribution partner and record label relationships. He will be based in the Company's UK office and report directly to Mark Mooradian, Senior Director, Strategic Planning and Business Development of MusicNet.

Schooff joins MusicNet from AOL Music UK, where he held the position of executive director. At AOL he was responsible for the overall music strategy, label relations and business development, including the launch of AOL Radio with over 100 stations of which 15 were locally programmed by the UK music team. Among other programming initiatives, he also launched Sessions, recording over 75 intimate performances with top UK acts including Morrissey, Franz Ferdinand and The Libertines.

Prior to AOL, Schooff was head of business development, new media for BMG Europe, where he was responsible for online and mobile licensing, clearing BMG catalogue for digital use, and helping create new artist contracts that addressed digital rights. Earlier in his career, he served as head of new media at BMG UK and was responsible for all online marketing, website development for frontline and commercial releases. In addition, he held the position of Senior Manager in BMG's worldwide marketing group in NYC, where he oversaw international marketing activities as well as developing BMG's click2music web portal across 40 countries.

Schooff holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Wayne State University.
