GSN Announces the Promotions of Michael Bevan to Executive Director of Development and Thom MacNamara to Director of Production

SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Michael Bevan has been promoted to Executive Director, Development and Thom MacNamara to Director of Production for GSN, it was announced today by Ian Valentine, Senior Vice President of Programming, GSN. Bevan previously held a position as Director of Development going back to October, 2002 and MacNamara served in a manager of production capacity starting in January, 2000.

"Michael and Thom have each made great contributions as GSN continues to evolve its programming and its brand," said Valentine. "Michael makes Dodgeball better with every season and really hit it out of the park with our new nine ball pool show. Thom is instrumental in the behind the scenes work on our shows. His seasoned guidance and leadership have been extremely beneficial to keeping shows on track economically and creatively."

As Executive Director, Development, Bevan will oversee original series and development projects for the network. Currently Bevan is working on the highly successful EXTREME DODGEBALL that is launching its third season on GSN in July. He is also handling a new nine-ball billiards show BALLBREAKERS that will be premiering on GSN July 18.

Bevan brings over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry to GSN. He has developed and produced entertainment programming for various broadcast networks, including ABC, CBS and PBS. Bevan also produced and developed concepts for Sony Online Entertainment.

MacNamara's new post will include overseeing the production of original programming including budgets, schedules and post production. MacNamara, who has been with GSN for over five years, continues to report to Sallie Kleiman, Executive Director of Production. He oversees various shows and productions including POKER ROYALE, EXTREME DODGEBALL and KENNY VS. SPENNY as well as the live programming on GSN.

MacNamara had previous productions stints for Comedy Central, NBC, Disney Channel, UPN and Fox.
