NASHVILLE, Tenn., May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2005 CMA Music Festival is the summer musical event of the year, with artists continuing to join the activities. "Country Music's Biggest Party(TM)" takes place Thursday-Sunday, June 9-12, in Downtown Nashville.

Superstars Alan Jackson, Dolly Parton and Wynonna have been added to the artist lineup for the Nightly Concerts at The Coliseum.

"Alan, Dolly and Wynonna have always put their fans first, which makes them ideal artists to perform at CMA Music Festival," said Ed Benson, CMA Executive Director. "They all have a strong history with this event. We are excited to have them return this year."

Jackson will perform on Friday, June 10. The Arista Nashville recording artist has received 16 CMA Awards, including 3 wins as Entertainer of the Year. His current album is the Platinum-certified What I Do, featuring the hits "The Talkin' Song Repair Blues," "Too Much of a Good Thing" and "Monday Morning Church."

The legendary Parton will be performing with The Grascals, one of today's hottest new Bluegrass bands, on Thursday, June 9. The Country Music Hall of Fame member has received 8 CMA Awards, including Entertainer of the Year. Her most recent projects include her live album Live and Well, featuring several members of The Grascals as part of her band, and For God and Country. The Grascals' self-titled debut album on Rounder Records features their duet with Parton on "Viva Las Vegas."

Wynonna will perform on Saturday, June 11. The Curb recording artist has received 9 CMA Awards during her time with The Judds. The fiery-haired diva will release both her autobiography, Coming Home to Myself, and her 20th anniversary hits CD/DVD package, Her Story: Scenes from a Lifetime, in September.

In addition, Andy Griggs, Joe Nichols, Sawyer Brown and SHeDAISY have also joined the artist lineup for the Nightly Concerts. Griggs, who will also host his Celebrity Archery Tournament in CMA Music Festival's Sports Zone for the fourth consecutive year, currently has a top-five hit with "If Heaven" from his third RCA album This I Gotta See. Nichols, who received the CMA Horizon Award in 2003, is also currently in the top-five with his single "What's a Guy Gotta Do" from his second Universal South album Revelations. Sawyer Brown, who also won a CMA Horizon Award in 1985, will release Keep Your Hands To Yourself on Curb Records in August, featuring the songs "Mission Temple Fireworks Stand" and "They Don't Understand." SHeDAISY is riding high with their third Lyric Street album Sweet Right Here featuring the hits "Passenger Seat," "Come Home Soon," and their current single "Don't Worry 'Bout a Thing."

The Nightly Concerts at The Coliseum (home of the NFL's Tennessee Titans) begin each night at 8:00 PM/CDT (with Pre-Show activities beginning at 7:45 PM/CDT on Thurs., June 9, only), and feature non-stop entertainment with state-of-the-art production on dual stages with fireworks at the conclusion of each show.

Advance-purchase tickets for each nightly show at The Coliseum cost $30 plus applicable handling fees, and can be purchased through the CMA Music Festival Box Office at the Gaylord Entertainment Center, 501 Broadway, Nashville, Tenn., or toll-free at 1-800-CMA-FEST (262-3378). Tickets will also be available through Ticketmaster at (615) 255-9600, at http://www.ticketmaster.com/ and all Ticketmaster outlets. Ticket prices are subject to change.

Single concert tickets will also be sold during CMA Music Festival at The Coliseum ticket office beginning Thursday, June 9.

A limited amount of on-site pay parking ($8 per vehicle) will be available nightly at The Coliseum in Lots E and F, just across the Woodland Street Bridge. This parking is not available for pre-purchase. It is only available for purchase on-site on a first-come, first-serve basis after 5:00 PM on Thursday and Friday (June 9-10), and all-day Saturday and Sunday (June 11-12). Ample paid surface lots and parking garages are available in Downtown Nashville, conveniently accessible to The Coliseum via the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge.

The single-night concert tickets are only good for performances at The Coliseum and do not include admittance to the Daily Concerts at Greased Lightning(R) Daytime Stages or the Wrangler(R) Fan Fair (Exhibit Hall). Single-day tickets to the Daily Concerts at Greased Lightning(R) Daytime Stages will only be available at the gate to Riverfront Park during the event for $14, with children 6 and younger admitted free. Admittance to the Wrangler(R) Fan Fair (Exhibit Hall) is included in four-day ticket packages only.

Packages are divided into four categories, based on the level of reserved seating at The Coliseum (the Gold Circle and Floor Level ticket packages are already sold out).
