DeVito/Verdi Wins Big in Three Competitions

NEW YORK, May 2 /PRNewswire/ -- New York Festivals: DeVito/Verdi took top honors at the New York Festivals 2005 Television, Cinema and Radio Advertising Awards. The Grand Award for Best Radio Advertising was presented to the Agency for their humorous "And They're Off" campaign for The National Thoroughbred Racing Association.

The prestigious New York Festivals (NYF) oversees six international awards competitions. Founded in 1957, NYF now has representation in 62 countries.

Rac Awards: The Agency received high honors once again at the Retail Advertising Marketing Association's annual conference for their "And They're Off" campaign for the National Thoroughbred Racing Association. The Agency won a Gold Award for the spots "Yoga," "Grandma" and "Karaoke." DeVito/Verdi also took home a Silver Award for a radio campaign for the Mount Sinai Medical Center.

The RAC awards competition is the retail industry's most prestigious creative contest and is sponsored by The Retail Advertising & Marketing Association (RAMA), which is a trade association of retail marketing and advertising professionals. RAMA is a division of the National Retail Federation, the world's largest retail trade association.

The Pollie Awards: The American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) announced the winners of the 2005 Pollie Awards. DeVito/Verdi took home a coveted gold Pollie for their television spot "Growing Up," which they created for The Citizens For A Strong Senate. Further, the Agency swept the 527 category with a silver for "Drunk Driving" and bronze for "Missing Persons."

The 2005 competition was the most competitive Pollie Awards to date with 256 firms entering and a record number of entries. Over 150 political experts from across the country participated as judges for the competition and winners were selected in more than 130 categories that represent the broad spectrum of political communications.
