"During each performance Chad Givens captures the mix of talent, attitude and charisma that has made Tim McGraw a musical superstar known to electrify audiences," says Mark Callas, who produces American Superstars with his Springtime Productions partner, Donny Moore.
Givens performs a three-song set of some of McGraw's biggest hits including "I Like It. I Love It," "Indian Outlaw," and "Live Like You Were Dying."
Givens' tribute career was launched at a garage sale when a producer for a tribute show noticed his uncanny resemblance to Tim McGraw. Appearing as McGraw at corporate promotions soon led to famous Nashville venues such as the Stardust Theatre and the tribute shows "Viva Nash Vegas" and "Country Music USA" on Opryland's "World Famous General Jackson Dinner Cruise." Givens has performed at various venues in Biloxi and Tunica, Mississippi; Canyonville, Oregon; Parker, Arizona and Laughlin, Nevada. Givens has also performed his Tim McGraw tribute on TNN's "This Week In Country Music."
Beyond performing, Givens has had a very dynamic musical career. He served as a staff writer for Co-Heart Music and Tanasi Music in Nashville. He has worked as a live and multi-track audio engineer and a guitar technician. Givens was Lighting Director/MC on the Winston Race and Rock Tour and once worked as a personal assistant to country music legend Tanya Tucker.
American Superstars is a full-scale production show that combines the talents of tribute artists portraying the likeness and musical abilities of today and yesterday's hottest stars. The American Superstars cast also features Darren Lee as Elvis, Naomi Rodriguez as Christina Aguilera, Kristie Fisher as Britney Spears and Damian Brantley as Michael Jackson. The high energy Superstars Dance Band and the beautiful Superstars Dancers back the multi-talented cast. American Superstars has played at the Stratosphere since April 1996.
Showtimes are Sunday through Tuesday at 7 p.m. and Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. in the Stratosphere's Theater of the Stars Showroom. The show is dark on Thursday.
