Pinnacle Studio 9 Enhancements Allow Users Import, Edit and Capture Videos With Greater Flexibility in Formats and Devices
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pinnacle Systems(R), Inc. (NASDAQ:PCLE), a leader in digital video solutions, today announced enhancements to its award-winning Pinnacle Studio version 9 line of home movie-making software.
The latest release of Studio 9 allows consumers to easily capture video footage from an even wider range of video devices, including DVD camcorders, to create entertaining, high-quality movies. Pinnacle Studio users can also now import and edit movies burned to DVDs and DVD camcorder owners can import and edit their movies as easily as traditional camcorder owners. This new feature gives the users the ability to import previously edited video from a home DVD, alter again if required and create a new disk.
Through a partnership with DivX, Studio products will support DivX(R) video, allowing for the import, export and edit of DivX video. Thanks to the high compression rates offered by DivX encoding, Studio users will be able to record up to two hours of video on a single CD without sacrificing quality. The user can then play them on any DivX enabled device, back-up hours of movies on their hard drive, or easily share videos via the Internet.
Studio Home Theater Edition
To accompany the release of Studio 9 newest version, the complete Studio software line will come for a limited period with the "Home Theater" pack, providing the latest advanced video and audio codecs. This pack lets Studio users edit and create DivX videos, burn DVDs with Dolby(R) Digital 5.1 surround sound, and export compressed MPEG-4 videos and MP3 audio. This promotion will be available for all variants of Studio Software products (Studio, Studio Plus and Studio MediaSuite) beginning approximately March 15.
Pricing and Availability
Studio, Studio Plus or Studio MediaSuite "Home Theater Edition" software products carry an MSRP that ranges from $79 to $129 and are available this month at major retailers and through the Pinnacle e-store.
For a limited time, the latest version of Studio 9 supports DivX at no cost, allowing users to import, capture & creation of high-quality DivX files for free.
