Movie Gallery Opens 2,500th Store

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to be Held at Movie Gallery's Newest Store Location in Jacksonville, Texas

DOTHAN, Ala., March 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Movie Gallery, Inc. (NASDAQ:MOVI), the nation's third-largest video rentailer, today announced another significant milestone in the Company's 20-year history. The official opening of Movie Gallery's 2,500th location will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Central today. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at the new store, located at 1601 Jackson Street, Jacksonville, Texas.

Several senior executives from Movie Gallery plan to attend along with Fran Bachelor, the Store Manager. The Mayor of Jacksonville, Kennth Durrect, will also attend the celebration as will a number of other representatives of the local Chamber of Commerce.

Movie Gallery's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Joe Malugen, said, "Today is a great day for Movie Gallery and a testament to the significant accomplishments of our 20,000 associates.
