Eric Tom Named Chief Executive of Broadband iTV

HONOLULU, March 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Hawaii-based Broadband iTV (BBiTV) today announced Eric Tom has been named its chief executive officer. The announcement was made by vice chairman and founder Clifton Kagawa. Tom, who is based in Menlo Park, Calif., will lead the interactive television application developer's expansion in U.S. and international markets.

"Eric Tom brings an intellect, vitality, and energetic bias for action to BBiTV. We are both pleased and fortunate to have him in our top leadership position," Kagawa said.

Tom most recently was vice president of sales for Qwest. Prior to that he held senior management and sales responsibilities for both start-up and established companies, primarily in the telecommunications sector. These included Pihana Pacific, Sprint, Honolulu-based Long Distance USA, and Deloitte & Touche. He holds a master in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor of business administration from the University of Hawaii.
