CINE Golden Eagle Film and Video Awards Gala to be Held April 14, 2005
WASHINGTON, March 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The 46th Annual CINE Golden Eagle Film and Video Awards Gala will take place April 14, 2005, at the Grosvenor Auditorium of the National Geographic Society in Washington, D.C.
The CINE Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to film critic Roger Ebert; USA Network-SCI FI Channel President Bonnie Hammer will receive the CINE Leadership Award; independent filmmakers Alan and Susan Raymond will receive the CINE Trailblazers Award; and, Lasergraphics, Inc. of Irvine, California, will receive the CINE-Siemens Excellence in Technology Innovation Award. Among presenters at the gala will be Washington Post film critic Tom Shales.
Masters of Ceremonies will be Lisa Ling, host of National Geographic's Explorer, Robert Aubry Davis, noted cultural commentator and host of the award-winning WETA-TV series Around Town, and Bob Dotson, National Correspondent for the NBC News Today Show.
CINE Seminars will take place earlier that day at the Charles Sumner School, including a filmmaking discussion with Mr. Ebert and Alan and Susan Raymond, CINE's traditional "5 on 5 for 5" pitch session competition, and a presentation about the award-winning technology.
