Backstreet Boys Announce Club Tour Dates; First New Studio Album In Five Years Slated For Summer 2005

LOS ANGELES, March 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Jive Records' artists the Backstreet Boys have announced a string of warm up club dates starting March 21 in New York City in anticipation of their forthcoming as yet untitled album. The group will perform all of their hits, plus a few new songs from the upcoming CD. The album, slated for release July 2005, is the first studio album for the group since their 5X platinum "Black & Blue" was released in 2000. Backstreet Boys debuted in 1997 and have sold 30 million albums in the U.S., 73 million albums worldwide.

Prior to their club dates, the Backstreet Boys will be traveling to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the March 18th "Force of Nature for Tsunami Aid" concert. Joining them are the Black Eyed Peas, Boyz II Men, Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean. Proceeds from the event will benefit the non-profit Kuala Lumpur-based Nature Aid Foundation.
