CAMPBELL, Calif., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- P-Com, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: PCMC) , a worldwide provider of broadband wireless access products and services to carriers, systems integrators and value added resellers, today announced that its SPEEDLAN 9200 wireless router product line was implemented to provide security and surveillance during the Super Bowl XXXIX game hosted in Jacksonville, Florida on Sunday, February 6, 2005.
The Super Bowl is a nationally telecast football game with a variety of surveillance and communications challenges. The City required a highly reliable communications network that could be quickly deployed and that was capable of transmitting full motion, real-time video from many locations. We chose SPEEDLAN over many competitive products because of its high level of functionality and ease of use," said Steve Haney, Regional Manager of Quality Communications, Fire and Security, Inc., one of the wireless installation contractors for the City of Jacksonville's event.
"We have been searching for the best company to provide the wireless component for a variety of our projects," said Andre Bachmann, Lead Sales Engineer from Communications Supply Corporation (CSC), a key provider of security and surveillance solutions for the event. "We are very happy with our choice of P-Com to round out our team. From the quality of the network, including their innovative mesh technology, to the outstanding customer service and support, P-Com has proven to be the right choice to bring our wireless capabilities to new levels."
P-Com's SPEEDLAN wireless routers allow seamless integration of surveillance cameras at disparate sites and remote locations.
