FRESNO, Calif., Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The Great Western Southern Gospel Fan Festival returns to Fresno, CA. The three-day festival, the biggest gospel festival west of the Rockies, will take place April 28 - 30, 2005 at the Save Mart Center at Fresno State. After enjoying tremendous success in its first year, Clear Channel Entertainment will once again stage the festival which includes singing quartets, piano players and comedians steeped in gospel heritage.

The festival provides both afternoon and evening entertainment. Nightly concerts will feature the best in southern gospel and quartet music from across America. The evening concert lineup will feature appearances from The Hoppers, Florida Boys, Ivan Parker, The Talley Trio, Dove Brothers Quartet, Janet Paschal, Dixie Melody Boys, The Pfeifers, Beene Family, Songfellows, Legacy Five and Greater Vision.

Afternoon showcases feature comedy, vintage quartets and the unique "Pianos on Parade" which highlights top southern gospel piano players lined across the stage. Also, back by popular demand, is the "Best of the West" impromptu gospel showcase featuring fine western talent such as Crossroads Quartet, RSV, Henry Herb Family, Knox Brothers, Watchmen, and Crimson River. Dennis Swanberg and Jeff Allen will make comic appearances throughout the festival.

Continuing the tradition of a true fan fest, the Great Western Southern Gospel Fan Festival will provide numerous opportunities for photos and autograph signings with your favorite artists.
