RUTHERFORD, N.J., Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Control Point Solutions, the leading telecom expense management firm, today announced that its Telecommunications Expense Management Outsource program, its BillTamer(R) software and Control Center(R) Web Reporting portal received SAS-70 Type II favorable opinion from independent auditors. The SAS 70 standard enables independent auditors to evaluate and issue an opinion on a service organization's internal controls. In the past, Control Point Solutions was able to demonstrate its effective control procedures with individual client's auditors. Now, Control Point Solutions can provide the SAS 70 opinion and report to its clients.

The requirements of Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 make SAS 70 standards even more important to the process of reporting on effective internal controls at service organizations. Many companies do not have the internal resources to achieve Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
