ACS to Provide Electronic Benefits Transfer Services for Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance

DALLAS, Feb. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Affiliated Computer Services, Inc., (NYSE:ACS), a premier provider of business process and information technology outsourcing solutions, announced today that it has been selected by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance and the Office of the Treasury to provide electronic benefit transfer (EBT) services for the department.

The seven-year contract has two, one-year extensions. The existing system is scheduled for conversion to the ACS EPPIC(TM) system in August 2005. Valued at approximately $27 million, the contract provides EBT transaction processing, a U.S.-based call center, database account management, and retailer management.
