Under Direction of New CEO, NextiraOne Brings Decision-Making Power Closer to Customers; Company Restructures Into Regional Business Units
HOUSTON, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Under the guidance of new CEO Dale Booth, NextiraOne, LLC, a Platinum Equity company, has realigned its strategy to focus on meeting customer needs more quickly and more effectively. The company's new business strategy establishes regional operations led by general managers that have executive-level decision-making power for sales and service delivery. This move will provide customers with better access to NextiraOne's expertise in IP, converged and traditional networking solutions.
Once wielding the majority of its decision-making power from a central location, NextiraOne will transition to a structure of nearly autonomous regional offices. General managers and area branch managers empowered to respond quickly to the needs of customers, will head the new Eastern, Western and Central service regions. There also will be a general manager responsible for sales and service delivery for national and global accounts and NextiraOne systems integrator and telecom carrier channel partners.
"Service has to be the focus, and with this new approach, NextiraOne will put decision-making power in the hands of the regional general managers so they can address customer needs more rapidly with a more responsive service product," said NextiraOne CEO Dale Booth. "I am committed to solidifying the financial stability of NextiraOne and providing our stakeholders with a good return on their investment. We will do this by supporting our customers with networking solutions that help them become more efficient, competitive and profitable."
NextiraOne also will work to provide every customer, regardless of size or location, with an assigned internal "owner" to address customer needs, service and support. NextiraOne expects the benefit to customers will be faster response times and a better understanding of their business and specific needs at the local level.
In addition to the new focus on regional efficiency, NextiraOne will work to educate and assist customers with convergence as those customers migrate from TDM-based to IP-based communications systems. To do this, the company will focus on a product/service set (IP telephony, data, voice, managed services and contact center applications) that is based on demand from the market.
"We're extremely well known for our expertise in voice, but what people don't often realize is that our expertise in IP and converged systems dates back to the inception of IP technologies," Booth said. "Companies recognize that now is the time to begin migrating toward an IP environment, and, as they make the transition, they'll need a networking solutions provider that really knows the path from TDM to IP. That's NextiraOne."
As the CEO of NextiraOne, Dale Booth, who joined the company in late October of 2004, brings a broad range of management experience to the company. He has held senior executive positions with companies including Fujitsu Network Communications, where he was president of the $400 million network services division. Booth was instrumental in building that division into a 35-branch global organization with 2,800 employees. Subsequently, as chairman and CEO of EngineX Networks, a Richardson, Texas, professional services firm serving the telecom industry, he built business relationships with some of the industry's largest service providers and equipment vendors, including Sprint, MCI, Verizon, SBC, Nortel Networks and Fujitsu. Most recently, Booth was interim president and CEO of Daisytek Inc., a $2 billion wholesale distributor of computer products.
