SEDONA Corporation Releases Intarsia Version 5.2

SEDONA Corporation Releases Intarsia Version 5.2

New Version Helps Financial Institutions Act on Important Opportunities

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., Jan. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SEDONA(R) Corporation (BULLETIN BOARD: SDNA) (http://www.sedonacorp.com/), a leading provider of vertical, web-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions for small and midsize financial services organizations, today announced the release of Intarsia(R) version 5.2. The new version allows banks, credit unions and insurance companies to more easily and accurately analyze customers and operations across lines of business. With new features such as system generated alerts and the ability to link reports and campaigns to processes, the system can automate the actions resulting from the discovery of key opportunities and issues.

Intarsia's Process Manager remains a vital part of the CRM application, providing the ability to set up and track any kind of process such as lead tracking and service request resolution. Users viewing a customer's information can see the status of all current and past processes that a specific customer or group of customers have been involved with. This significantly helps the employee to best sell or service that customer with the knowledge of the overall relationship and status of each outstanding issue. To help identify potential opportunities and issues, Intarsia users can develop reports that identify important events or thresholds. Dramatic changes in customer balances, changes in customer retention indicators, or customer birthdays for that month, are examples of such events/thresholds. Users can then link these reports to one or more processes. Marketing campaigns can also be set up and linked to one or more processes. This means that for an identified segment of customers, users can automatically trigger action(s) for the appropriate employee(s) and then track the subsequent activity to ensure that all opportunities and issues are managed in a timely, productive way. Management personnel can monitor processes and measure the return on investment (ROI) and other key metrics from the system in real-time.

Eric Hien, Product Manager, Fidelity Information Services commented, "As a SEDONA partner, we have found that the advancements made to Campaign Manager and Process Manager have been well received by our banking prospects who are looking for a sales solution that takes them from campaign creation to lead tracking to results analysis easily."

With previous versions supporting banking, credit unions and property & casualty (P&C) insurance lines of business, Intarsia version 5.2 now includes support for life insurance. Also with version 5.2, Customer and Household Value Indexing (CVI/HVI) were added for insurance. This means that the system will calculate the relative value of each policyholder and household so these indicators can be used in reporting and on the front line to improve the ability of employees to make good customer-related decisions. CVI and HVI have been popular features in previous Intarsia versions for banking and credit unions.

While Intarsia has long been able to automatically customerize and household customer data coming into the system during each update process, version 5.2 now enables system-generated households to be manually augmented to reflect more true-to-life relationships between family members or individuals with commercial accounts. The system will retain any manual changes even as new updates are run. The new version also offers the ability to customerize prospect records to ensure these are accurately aggregated in the datamart and integrated appropriately with customer records. This capability gives the financial institution the utmost power in ensuring data is accurate so that they can confidently use customer and prospect records whether servicing customers face-to-face or setting up marketing and sales programs.

"Intarsia continues to lead the way as a highly verticalized CRM solution for small and midsize financial institutions," commented SEDONA VP & CMO, Alyssa Dver. "We are finding that many banks, credit unions, and insurance companies are using Intarsia to replace other CRM solutions they bought in the past after having found that those simply didn't meet their business needs. Intarsia clearly has a competitive stronghold. We will continue to maintain our strength as a technology leader coupled with outstanding service and a clear understanding of our customers' line of business requirements."
