R&B's Fastest Rising Star Gets Ready to Debut in February as Hit Single 'O' Explodes
NEW YORK, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- R&B upstart Omarion's got game. As a teen, Omarion scored his first points as the lead singer of multi-platinum group B2K but that was only the beginning. On February 22, the 20 year old will make his highly anticipated solo debut with the release of his album O on Sony Urban/Epic. The title track "O", already considered a hit single, is tearing up airwaves everywhere while the video holds top spots on BET and MTV.

For his album, Omarion worked with renowned producers Allstar, The Underdogs, Rodney Jerkins, Sean Garrett, and The Neptunes. Omarion co-wrote 5 songs on the album, and hopes to show fans a "deeper insight of what goes on inside my head," he says. "Love is always the topic." The album is packed with equal doses of silky ballads and mid-tempos. Essentially, it's a little old school mixed in with the new.
On songs like "Never Gonna Let You Go (She's A Keeper,)" "I'm Gonna Change," and the title track "O," Omarion expresses his appreciation of the unpredictable and ever-changing rhythm of relationships. "O" is my favorite song on the album because it explains who I am" says Omarion.
Considered a "triple threat" as a singer, dancer, and actor, Omarion has appeared in the film You Got Served, numerous TV shows, and appears in the holiday blockbuster Fat Albert. Omarion will release his first autobiography, also entitled O on February 22. Of his forthcoming memoir, he insists, "It's just about my life, an episode in my life. There is so much that happens in the entertainment life, especially when you've been working from such a young age. There's a lot about me that my fans don't know. I've been working since I was 14, so you'll get an insight on what goes on."
