Napster Bolsters Business Development Team

Napster Bolsters Business Development Team

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Napster, the biggest brand in digital music (NASDAQ:NAPS), today announced that Andrea G. Devenow joined the company as Vice President, Business Development. Devenow has spent the last several years developing a reputation for success in the digital media distribution industry and will use her experience to identify and leverage partnerships that will introduce the Napster experience to new audiences and partners in the rapidly expanding digital music marketplace. Devenow will report directly to Larry Linietsky, Napster's Senior Vice President, Worldwide Business Development and will work in the company's Los Angeles headquarters.

"We are thrilled that Andrea has agreed to join Napster's business development team and help us extend Napster's reach into new distribution channels," said Larry Linietsky. "Her successful track record and wealth of contacts among the cable operators, telcos and other premium service providers will be of great value to our team as we execute growth plans to take the Napster brand to the next level."

Devenow has been on the cutting edge of digital media distribution throughout this industry's rapid development. Demonstrating an early appreciation of the now-vibrant industry, Devenow negotiated the terms of MGM's equity stake in Movielink, LLC in her position as Executive Director of Finance and Corporate Development at that studio. Devenow then went in-house at Movielink, first serving as Interim Head of Operations and then as VP of Business Development, playing a key role in transforming the joint venture between several of Hollywood's top studios from a retail commerce web site into a partner-driven, co-branded broadband movie download service. Prior to her work at MGM and Movielink, Devenow served as an associate consultant with LEK/ALCAR Consulting Group. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband.
