HOTSPOTZZ Lights Up Sundance Film Festival With Free Wi-Fi Hot Zones
SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- If you're going to the Sundance Film Festival this year, be sure to take your laptop with you. Sundance Film Festival attendees in Park City can stay wirelessly connected through free HOTSPOTZZ Wi-Fi Internet hot zones. HOTSPOTZZ, one of the largest private providers of wireless hot spots, is providing Sundance Film Festival goers free Wi-Fi Internet access at Prospector Square, Kimball Junction and lower Main Street from January 20-30, 2005.
"We want to give Sundance attendees the opportunity to stay connected during the festival," said Henry Smith, HOTSPOTZZ CEO. "Many people are taking time off work to attend the festival. HOTSPOTZZ provides film goers a chance to transition from the big screen to the laptop screen with ease."
Wi-Fi uses radio waves that allow attendees with wireless-enabled laptops or handheld devices to access the Internet wirelessly. Wi-Fi "hot spots" utilize wireless technology known as 802.11b and are becoming standard in public places such as coffee shops, airports, hotels and campgrounds.
To access the HOTSPOTZZ "hot zones" for free, a user simply needs a wireless enabled laptop. A few minor settings need to be changed and the network can be located by selecting "hotspotzz" from the list of available wireless networks.
Park City HOTSPOTZZ locations include Leger's Deli and Loco Lizard. Salt Lake City mainstream locations include Coffee Garden, Nostalgia Coffee, downtown Wasatch Broiler, Big O Tires-Olympus, Docu Prep Inc. Business Center, and KOA Salt Lake City.
