Elton John to Star at Andy Roddick Charity Benefit

WASHINGTON, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Music superstar, Elton John, will join tennis superstar, Andy Roddick at the 2005 "Champions for Charity" Gala and Auction that will be held on Tuesday, April 26th at the Four Seasons Hotel Austin in Austin, Texas. All proceeds donated through The Andy Roddick Foundation will benefit local children in need including The Settlement Home, Austin Children's Hospital and A Glimmer of Hope Foundation.
Andy Roddick, will host the evening's festivities that will include cocktails, an intimate dinner and auction, and a solo performance by Elton John in the Four Seasons Ballroom for just 380 guests. Arriving with his signature red grand piano, Elton will sing some of the world's most popular songs in an evening destined to be the "hottest ticket in Texas."
Table sponsorships range from $10,000-$50,000 and are currently Available. They include premier seating and a VIP reception with Andy Roddick, the 2003 US Open Champion and currently ranked number two in the world in tennis. Celebrity friends expected to join Andy and Elton include former Miss USA and current actress, Ali Landry, super model, Cindy Crawford, legendary singer, Donna Summer as well as honorary chairs, Texas Governor Rick Perry and his wife Anita.
Reserved tickets are limited and will go on sale beginning March 1st at $750 per person.
According to Blanche Roddick, chairman of The Andy Roddick Foundation, Andy is extremely involved in charitable activities and has raised more than $1.3 million dollars in just four years for sick, abused and neglected children.
