DAVETV by Tao Delivers Entertainment on Demand From Internet to Television

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Giant International today announced the DAVETV by Tao(TM) digital media receiver. The appliance is the first to enable television viewers to experience digital content directly from the Internet. Capable of downloading and streaming video, music and pictures, DAVETV by Tao connects to a TV set on one side and the Internet on the other, thus allowing consumers to watch Internet content on their TVs.

Like all Tao products, DAVETV by Tao delivers a consumer's preferred entertainment in their favored format via their selected medium at their chosen time. The receiver opens the door to all the content of the Internet for consumers' entertainment whenever they want to include it in their active lifestyles. By supporting Windows Media 9 and the Microsoft Corp. digital rights management platform, DAVETV by Tao will play "first-run" standard- and high-definition content, as well as music and other digital entertainment.

The DMC allows people to browse a channel guide, watch DAVETV shows, and acquire music and pictures, as well as provides a tool for managing media content downloaded from DAVENetworks' Internet broadcasting company or other sources. In addition to news, sports, foreign-language and a ton of eclectic content, DAVETV offers more than 10,000 music videos for download.
