Riverstone Networks Appoints Vice President of Internal Audit

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Dec. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Riverstone Networks (Pink Sheets: RSTN) today announced that Mark Tisdel has been appointed to serve as its Vice President of Internal Audit. In this newly created role, Mr. Tisdel is responsible for the on-going testing of the company's compliance with the internal controls requirements of the federal Sarbanes Oxley Act. He will also develop audit plans to support the continuous improvement and scalability of the Riverstone's internal controls.

Prior to joining Riverstone, Mr. Tisdel served as Senior Director of the Global Shared Service Center at PeopleSoft, Inc., overseeing all transactional processing and accounting, and assisting in the financial systems and data integration of JD Edwards. At PeopleSoft, Mr. Tisdel also held roles in Financial Planning and as a Business Unit Controller. Additionally, he has held finance positions at Warpspeed Communications, Pacific Bell Internet and GTE. Mr. Tisdel is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BS in Accounting from Clarkson University and an MBA in Finance from Wake Forest University.
