Customizable Print-on-Demand System Lets P&G Meet Customers' Unique Needs in a Cost-Effective and Time-Saving Manner
CINCINNATI, Dec. 1, 2004 /PRNewswire/ -- The Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE:PG) has launched a web-based solution designed to meet the unique needs and high degree of program customization required by its commercial customers. Using PG Publisher, P&G's Commercial Products Group (CPG) will better be able to service its clientele, ranging from the small independent restaurant operator through food service distributors, to large chain supermarkets and restaurants.
PG Publisher is a web-based interactive program that creates customized printed materials such as cleaning procedure manuals, distributor sell sheets, wall charts, and point of sale materials. Built by iMarlin LLC, the Application Service Product (ASP) software iExtend(R) system delivers customized cleaning procedures, as well as product and safety information that will help improve customers' training programs and aid in their compliance with Health Department regulations. Building a customized cleaning procedure manual now takes a matter of minutes. Printing and shipping to the customer occurs within three to five business days of placing the order.
"PG Publisher efficiently and effectively puts relevant, complete, and made-to-order Cleaning Program Procedure Binders in our customers' hands," said Miguel Alemany, Product Development Director for CPG.
Nearly every customer need has been considered. PG Publisher even supports the need to deliver information in multiple languages as the workforce is growing ever more diverse. The software also incorporates online image and document libraries with point-of-sale and marketing collateral functionality to deliver tailored and pertinent communications.
