The alliance, recently formed by leading messaging security company, CipherTrust was developed to create an open cross-industry initiative to create enterprise-scale messaging security solutions addressing interoperability, scalability and management.

Industry analyst firm The Radicati Group predicts that e-mail communications within the enterprise will reach 157.7 billion by 2008; therefore, groups like the ESMA must lead the way in protecting the essential communications channel.
