O2 Awards Wireless Facilities Multi-Million Dollar Contract

Award Includes Sites in U.K.; Covers 3G RF Design and Optimization

SAN DIEGO, Dec. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wireless Facilities, Inc. (WFI) (NASDAQ:WFII), a global leader in the design, deployment and management of wireless communication networks, technology networks and security systems, announced today that it has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract to provide 3G radio engineering capability for O2 in the United Kingdom. The contract is part of a program involving multiple sites in the United Kingdom and is anticipated to be completed by third quarter of 2005. Further terms of the award were not disclosed.
