Catalyst Connection and Duquesne Light Announce Grants for Manufacturers Hurt by Ivan Flooding

PITTSBURGH, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Catalyst Connection in partnership with Duquesne Light has announced a grant opportunity for Pittsburgh manufacturers that have been affected by the flooding caused by hurricane Ivan.

The Hurricane Ivan Grant program enables manufacturers in communities affected by the flooding to apply for up to $2,500 for use in replacing damaged business equipment.

Catalyst Connection manages the grant program, and it is funded by Duquesne Light. One of the unique aspects is that companies may apply to use the grant as reimbursement for equipment recently purchased to replace that which was damaged.

"Even though we are limiting our awards to $2,500 per applicant, we believe that we can assist many businesses who still may be operating without critical machinery," said Art Tintori, managing director of financial services for Catalyst Connection. "Certain other equipment also may be eligible to be replaced or reimbursed."

The total number of grants is limited. Applications, criteria and more details are available by calling (412) 918-4221 or by e-mailing atintori@catalystconnection.com .
