Consumers Will Also Have Access to Triple Advantage, Which Monitors Credit Reports From the Three National Credit Reporting Companies
IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Experian Consumer Direct(SM), the leading provider of online direct-to-consumer credit reports and products, today announced a special promotion for December 2004 whereby all consumers nationwide can access their Experian credit report once at no charge through www.FreeCreditReport.com.
The Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act) allows consumers to get one free credit report from each of the three national credit reporting companies once every 12 months through a central source with a regional implementation beginning December 1, 2004, and concluding September 1, 2005.
Consumers who are eligible for the FACT Act free credit report can receive an additional credit report directly from Experian in the month of December through this promotion at www.FreeCreditReport.com. More importantly, consumers not yet eligible in the month of December can see their Experian credit report now, at no charge, instead of waiting to become eligible in their region under the FACT Act.

Triple Advantage(SM), Experian's new credit monitoring product, will be available to consumers who have ordered their free Experian credit report through www.FreeCreditReport.com. Triple Advantage will offer consumers daily monitoring of all three national credit reporting companies' credit reports and send the consumer notification via email and/or SMS mobile text alerts when critical changes are detected on any of the consumer's three credit reports.
Triple Advantage members will receive one free credit report from each of the three national credit reporting companies when they sign up and will continue to receive unlimited Experian credit reports and credit scores. They will also have the opportunity to purchase discounted reports at any time from the other two credit reporting companies. Monthly credit score trending, credit score analysis, a credit score simulator and $50,000 in identity theft insurance will be included as well. Members will also have toll-free access to fraud resolution professionals in case of fraud or identity theft. Educational resources such as articles on credit and financial calculators will be available to members through their personal online credit center.
Triple Advantage will be available to consumers on December 1, 2004, for $12.95 per month.
