Jennifer Hinshelwood joins TVO as Vice President, Talent and Engagement

TORONTO, June 2, 2016 /CNW/ - TVO is pleased to welcome Jennifer Hinshelwood as the new Vice President of Talent and Engagement. Ms. Hinshelwood joins TVO as the organization delivers on its strategy to become the Government of Ontario's partner for digital learning, to provide the digital public space for Ontario-perspective in-depth current affairs, and to empower its employees to thrive in an organization that embraces continual change.

"Jennifer is an experienced and thoughtful executive who has a track record of building high-functioning and dynamic teams," says Lisa de Wilde, Chief Executive Officer, TVO. "She will play a key role in continuing to build our culture of innovation, empowering our employees to thrive as they deliver unique public value to the citizens of Ontario."

Jennifer comes to TVO from Medical Pharmacies Group Limited (MPGL) where she was Vice President, Human Resources, responsible for driving growth in MPGL's business through an effective human resources and best people strategy. In this role, Jennifer oversaw the development of all human resources strategies, talent acquisition and management, leadership development and succession planning, and compensation.

Jennifer has provided strategic leadership to human resources teams in both unionized and non-unionized organizations, with extensive employee and labour relations experience in varied work environments.

Jennifer is a graduate of Western University, Humber College, and the Schulich School of Business at York University, and she holds both the Certified Human Resources Leader and Certified Employee Benefits Specialist professional designations.

"I look forward to connecting and working with all members of TVO's team of professionals, fostering a culture where everyone can perform to their potential," said Jennifer Hinshelwood. "And as a parent of young children who are big fans of TVOKids, I'm really pleased and honoured to contribute to such an exceptional organization that ignites the potential that lies within everyone through learning."

Ms. Hinshelwood succeeds Clara Arnold, who retires in July following 23 years of service at TVO.
